ラスベガス日本教育振興会ラスベガス学園は、1995年に、ラスベガス在住の児童･生徒保護者の熱い思いから誕生し、2025年には設立30周年を迎えます。ネバダ州では唯一の日本国学校教育法に基づき設置された在外教育施設です。とりわけ、北米に数ある日本語補習校の中でも、幼稚部･小学部･中学部・国際部を擁する希少な存在です。
ラスベガスという世界的にも有名な都市にある補習校として、この地ならではのバックグラウンドを持った児童生徒、保護者、教職員が、ユニークな校風を作りあげてきました。
第５代理事長就任にあたり、教職員には「自分の授業を受けることができる児童生徒は幸せだ」と言える授業を展開して欲しい。児童生徒が「今日、ラスベス学園に来て良かった」と思って帰路につけるような指導を、これまで以上に心がけて欲しいと要請しました。そのような授業に力を入れるために、理事会としては、学校の財政、セキュリティを堅固なものにする努力をすることを約束しました。
理事会は、設立以来、大切に守られてきたラスベガス学園の良き伝統と誇りを大切に継承しつつ、児童生徒たちが大きな夢を抱くことができるような環境をさらに整えていくために力を尽くしたいと思います。
ネバダ州非営利団体 (IRS 501-C3）として皆さまからの物質両面での支援は不可欠です。これをご覧の皆さまには、ラスベガス学園のことをおぼえていただき、ご協力いただきたく、心よりお願い申しあげます。

Las Vegas Nippon Kyoiku Shinkokai – Las Vegas Gakuen (Japanese Saturday School) was founded in 1995 from the passion of parents of children and students living in Las Vegas and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2025.
It is the only overseas educational institution established in Nevada under the Japanese School Education Act. Among the many Japanese schools in North America, it is one of the few to have kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and international divisions.
As a school located in the world-famous city of Las Vegas, students, parents, faculty and staff with backgrounds unique to the area have created a unique school culture.
Upon assuming the position of the school’s fifth chairman, I asked the faculty and staff to develop classes in which teachers could proudly yet humbly say, “Students are fortunate to take my classes”.
I also asked the faculty to be even more committed than before to teaching in such a way that students would go home thinking, “I am glad I came to school today.”
In order for the teachers to prepare such quality lessons, the board promised to make every effort to solidify the school’s finances and security.
We, the Board, will do our best to continue to create an environment where students can dream big while carrying on the good traditions and pride of Las Vegas Gakuen that has been cherished since its inception.
As a Nevada non-profit organization (IRS 501-C3), your support, both moral and financial, is essential. We sincerely hope that everyone reading this will remember the Las Vegas Gakuen and help us in this endeavor.
